Architect Rahul Kadam and his tribute to the Master, Architect Charles Correa

Architect Rahul Ajeet Kadam graduated from the BKPS college of Architecture, Pune University, India and has a Master’s degree from South Bank University, London, U.K, in Health care Planning and Design. He was a student member at Architectural Association, London,UK . Rahul topped in his thesis project at the University of Pune, BKPS College, Pune, on the Topic Educational Facility for Children with Cerebral Palsy, which was presented and well received at the AA, London.

His quest for excellence helped him to be part of award winning projects of repute in a career spanning 21 years. Rahul has been deeply influenced by the work of the Masters like Charles Correa and here he shares with Gallopper a tribute to
the Master.

RK4RK5Rahul Kadam gained early exposure to the implementation aspects of design during his association with Architect Bimal Patel of HCP,  on campus design, whch was then followed by his involvement in concept design development of large scale national and International competitions projects at Karan Grover Associates. On his return from the UK, Rahul worked with Ar. Kamal Malik on green field healthcare projects, after which, he set up his own practice in Ahmedabad, and later became a part of the early Architectural works at Edifice consultants, as a project consultant.

Kadam has been a Director-Partner at Edifice Consultants Pvt. Ltd. for over 15 years, handling diverse portfolios like Hospitals, Hotels Special Economic Zones, IT campuses, Schools, etc in a cutting-edge corporate environment. Rahul was also was a part of the Partnership Management Council that comprised of an eight member team that provided strategic vision to Edifice.

Rahul is currently working on projects undertaken his own design practice the NGK studio (Natures Green Kinesthetics), with his wife, Nandini Kadam, who also is an architect, the NGK studio focuses on Sensitive Design, Research and Development based design responses, The NGK studio is servicing various prestigious National and Multi national Clients.
